Fill It. Tilt It. That's How We Roll!
Automated collection of garbage and recyclables in Hillsborough County's Solid Waste service area is under way!

Automated collection is a system where garbage and recycling containers are emptied using a mechanical arm on the collection vehicle, instead of workers lifting cans and bins by hand. It's a better method of collection that is cleaner and neater for neighborhoods, greener for the environment, and safer for the service providers.

NEW VIDEO! Here's everything you need to know about using your carts, and where to dispose of items that can't be collected at the curb.

Cart Swap-Out Period Under Way Through March 15
A one-time size change at no charge can be arranged by contacting your Franchise Collector, or emailing the Solid Waste Customer Service Center. Roll cart size changes after March 15, 2014 will incur a $30 charge each.
