  1. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearing for Burglar False Alarm; Water Resources and Natural Resources

    This Special Magistrate is authorized to hear violations concerning all codes and ordinances of Hillsborough County in order to maintain health and safety standards. Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate to the Circuit Court with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. An appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days after the execution of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate’s Order.

    Agriculture Economic Development Council board meeting. The Council serves the BOCC to review and evaluate county agricultural issues and to initiate projects and recommendations.

  9. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearings for Red Light Appeals

    May 7, 9:00 AM @ 2nd floor, Board Room, County Center

    The Special Magistrate shall conduct the quasi-judicial enforcement procedures of Ordinance 09-64, Hillsborough County Red Light Camera Enforcement Ordinance, in the same or similar manner as with other ordinance violations and shall also consider appeals of red light camera violations filed pursuant to the Ordinance. Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate to the Circuit Court with respects to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.   12. Zoning Hearing Master Meeting

    These are public hearings to address all rezoning requests in Hillsborough County. Following the hearings, the Zoning Hearing Master makes written recommendations for approval or denial to the Board of County Commissioners.

  13. Joint BOCC/Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) Meeting

    This is the annual meeting for the BOCC and the CAC to talk about joint issues. The CAC will report on what it has done over the past year, and ask for guidance in the year ahead.

  14. Safe & Sound Hillsborough County Meeting

    May 14, 1:00 PM @ 24th Floor, Meeting Room 2416, County Center

    The Hillsborough County Community Violence Prevention Collaborative, now known as Safe & Sound Hillsborough County, was created in the summer of 2013 as an initiative to transform the way local policy makers address violence. This initiative shifts policy from a public safety to a public health model and aligns community and professional stakeholders to develop a comprehensive prevention and intervention approach.

  15. Employee Advisory Committee Meeting

    May 14, 2:30 PM @ Port Tampa Bay’s Joseph Garcia International Headquarters

    This committee meets on a monthly basis and serves in an advisory capacity to the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board concerning personnel matters, policies, Civil Service rules, and other policies affecting employees within the classified service. All agency heads, department heads, employees, or other interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.

  16. Health Care Advisory Board (HCAB) Management Sub-Committee

  17. Tourist Development Council Meeting

    May 14, 3:00 PM @ 2nd Floor Board Room, County Center

    This is the regular quarterly meeting of the TDC. This Council prepares a tourist development plan for the Board of County Commissioners, recommends uses for the tourist development tax revenue, and monitors trust fund spending. It also makes recommendations to the Commissioners for developing tourism in the area.

  18. Public Safety Coordinating Council (Full Council)

    This Council serves as an advisory board to the Board of County Commissioners for matters relating to criminal justice. It evaluates public and private criminal justice systems and programs, and recommends changes to their funding.

  19. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearings for Community Codes

    The Special Magistrate is authorized to hear violations concerning all codes and ordinances of Hillsborough County in order to maintain health and safety standards.
