  1. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearing for Community Codes

    September 15, 9:00 AM @ County Center

    The Special Magistrate is authorized to hear violations concerning all codes and ordinances of Hillsborough County in order to maintain health and safety standards. Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate with respect to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. An appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days after the execution of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate’s Order.

  2. Hazards and Flood Plan Update

    A series of meetings will be held in several areas of the county to provide residents in all of Hillsborough County, including Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City, information about the 2014 update to Hillsborough County’s Local Mitigation Strategy and Floodplain Management Plan (LMS). The LMS is the “all hazards” guide developed to provide the community information as to what risks, both natural and human-made, they face while living in Hillsborough County and mitigation techniques residents and businesses can implement to help lessen and even eliminate the risks. Hazards in Hillsborough County include floods, wildfires, tornados, thunderstorms, and hurricanes.

  13. Montegue Street and Memorial Highway Intersection Improvements Public Meeting

    The Hillsborough County Public Works Department is requesting public comment on potential modifications to the roundabout intersection at Montague Street and Memorial Highway to improve safety and traffic flow. This intersection is located in the Countryway area of northwest Hillsborough County. Possible improvements include changes to the traffic circle to allow a west exit to Memorial Highway and removal of the raised concrete separator on the south leg to allow travel east through the roundabout.

Electronics are also accepted at any of our Community Collection Centers six days a week (Monday to Saturday).     Pre-construction information meeting for a Public Utilities Department project to replace existing asbestos concrete and thin-walled PVC water mains in the community around Sailfish Drive in Brandon to improve water quality and service reliability. The project area is located in Brandon, south of West Lumsden Road and west of South Kings Avenue.

    The Hillsborough County Public Utilities Department is proposing a project to design and construct an above ground storage tank and pump station to provide reclaimed water service to the Waterset community in the Apollo Beach area of southern Hillsborough County. The tank and pump station would be constructed on a 5 acre site next to Interstate 75 within the Waterset community.
