    The COSW serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the status of women.

  4. Zoning Hearing Master Will Meet

    November 13, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ 601 E. Kennedy Blvd.

    These are public hearings to address all rezoning requests in Hillsborough County. Following the hearings, the Zoning Hearing Master makes written recommendations for approval or denial to County Commissioners.Any person who might wish to appeal any decision made by the Zoning Hearing Master regarding any matter considered at the public hearing or meeting is advised that he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which will include the testimony and evidence upon which such an appeal is to be based.

  5. County Commissioner Lesley "Les" Miller, Jr. Hosts Kitchen Cabinet Meeting

    November 13, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ Fellowship Hall

    County Commissioner Lesley "Les" Miller, Jr. Hosts Kitchen Cabinet Meeting. Commissioner Miller will address any issues impacting Palm River, District 3. Residents will be able to provide comments and ask questions in an open forum setting.

Parks, Recreation & Conservation

  1. Ruskin Recreation Center Youth Flag Football and Cheerleading!

    October 1 - December 1 @ Ruskin Park

    A team sport to encourage self esteem, recreation, and physical activity. For boys and girls ages 5 – 12. Each child will receive a shirt and trophy. Registration begins Sept. 17. Youth Leagues begin October 1. Cheerleading will be held Mondays and Wednesdays 5 p.m. -6 p.m. Flag Football games held on Tuesday and Thursday 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. Flag Football practices to be scheduled For additional information or registration, call Joy Robinson, Ruskin Recreation Center, 813-672-7881.

  2. 4 on 4 Adult Flag Football Camp at Ruskin Recreation Center

    October 11 - December 6 @ Ruskin Park

  3. Adult Basketball League at University Area Community Park

    October 23 - December 23 @ University Area Recreation Center

    Registration going on now. Games: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Beginning, Tuesday, Oct. 23 Hillsborough County’s Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is looking for players 16 years old or above to compete in a Full Court Basketball League.
