Meetings & Events

  1. Commission On The Status Of Women Will Meet

    November 16, 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM @ 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.

    The forum will bring together invited guests and subject matter experts to discuss and develop recommendations to address this crime against children. The COSW serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the status of women.

  2. Citizens Advisory Committee Will Meet

    November 16, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ County Center

    This Committee serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on general issues and those specified by the Board.

  3. Public Safety Coordinating Council (Full Council) Will Meet

    November 16, 8:30 AM @ 601 E. Kennedy Blvd.

    This council serves as an advisory board to the Board of County Commissioners for matters relating to criminal justice. It evaluates public and private criminal justice systems and programs, and recommends changes to their funding.

  4. Code Enforcement Board Will Meet

    November 16, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ County Center

    The Board is authorized to hear violations concerning all codes and ordinances of Hillsborough County in order to maintain health and safety standards. Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Board with respects to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. An appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days after the execution of the Code Enforcement Board’s Order.

  5. Juvenile Justice Board Will Meet

    November 16, 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM @ Conference Room A & B

    This Board fosters collaboration among citizens, neighborhoods and community partners to eliminate juvenile delinquency in Hillsborough County.

Parks, Recreation & Conservation

  1. Ruskin Recreation Center Youth Flag Football and Cheerleading!

    October 1 - December 1 @ Ruskin Park

    A team sport to encourage self esteem, recreation, and physical activity. For boys and girls ages 5 – 12. Each child will receive a shirt and trophy. Registration begins Sept. 17. Youth Leagues begin October 1. Cheerleading will be held Mondays and Wednesdays 5 p.m. -6 p.m. Flag Football games held on Tuesday and Thursday 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. Flag Football practices to be scheduled For additional information or registration, call Joy Robinson, Ruskin Recreation Center, 813-672-7881.

  2. 4 on 4 Adult Flag Football Camp at Ruskin Recreation Center

    October 11 - December 6 @ Ruskin Park

    Join a 4 on 4 Adult Flag Football Sports Camp open to everyone age 18 and over. Cost includes awards. For more information and to register, call Kevin Clethen, Ruskin Recreation Center at 813-672-7881

  3. Adult Basketball League at University Area Community Park

    October 23 - December 23 @ University Area Recreation Center

    Registration going on now. Games: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Beginning, Tuesday, Oct. 23 Hillsborough County’s Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is looking for players 16 years old or above to compete in a Full Court Basketball League.
