    The Hillsborough County Public Art Committee will meet on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. in the 23rd Floor Facilities Management Conference Room at County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa.

    The COSW serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on matters pertaining to the status of women.

  3. Employee Advisory Committee To Meet

    This committee meets on a monthly basis and serves in an advisory capacity to the Hillsborough County Civil Service Board concerning personnel matters, policies, Civil Service rules, and other policies affecting employees within the classified service.

    This Subcommittee is studying the County’s funding process for non-profit organizations, and will forward any recommended actions to the full Citizens Advisory Committee for their consideration. The CAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on general issues and those specified by the Board.

Parks, Recreation & Conservation

  1. Ruskin Recreation Center Youth Flag Football and Cheerleading!

    October 1 - December 1 @ Ruskin Park

    A team sport to encourage self esteem, recreation, and physical activity. For boys and girls ages 5 – 12. Each child will receive a shirt and trophy. Registration begins Sept. 17. Youth Leagues begin October 1. Cheerleading will be held Mondays and Wednesdays 5 p.m. -6 p.m. Flag Football games held on Tuesday and Thursday 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. Flag Football practices to be scheduled For additional information or registration, call Joy Robinson, Ruskin Recreation Center, 813-672-7881.

  3. Adult Basketball League at University Area Community Park

    October 23 - December 23 @ University Area Recreation Center

    Registration going on now. Games: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Beginning, Tuesday, Oct. 23 Hillsborough County’s Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is looking for players 16 years old or above to compete in a Full Court Basketball League.
