Hillsborough County is implementing a dashboard to show its citizens how County
departments and agencies under the County Administrator are performing.
As part of this project, departments provide at least three key performance measures.
Large departments present more measures. Here are some of the parameters:
- Selected measures are reported on a regular periodic basis.
- All the data must be verifiable.
- Departments are encouraged to show outcome measures rather than only output measures.
- They are also encouraged to choose measures that are industry standards. Reporting progress against a widely accepted standard is a powerful and simple way to report results.
- And finally, those ten departments annually reporting measures to the Florida Benchmarking Consortium (FBC) are encouraged to report progress on these measures as part of this dashboard. Measures which are based on industry standards and FBC measures are often used due to their comparability with published data from the (approximately) 60 other FBC member jurisdictions. These reports will be updated and modified so please re-visit this site periodically. Other departments will be added as data is sent.
The most recent Performance Dashboard information can be found by following this link.
This site is a work-in-progress. Not all departments are included in this report, but will be added as more information is sent. There will also be periodic updates.
Please give us your feedback to improve this dashboard.
