The Department of Aging Services in partnership with AARP hosted an Annual Caregivers' Reception, 'Unmasking the Many Faces of Caregiving'. This event provided community caregivers and their loved ones an enjoyable night out featuring excitement of Mardi Gras, live music, dancing, door prizes, Cajun inspired food and fellowship.

Each year we provide a reception to honor the commitment, long hours and the love a caregiver put into caring for a loved one. AARP provided an exciting guest speaker, Paul Chapelaine, the long time caregiver of the late Estelle Getty of "The Golden Girls."
