Dangerous Dog Registry -- Dangerous dogs are an increasingly serious and widespread threat to the safety and welfare of the people of Hillsborough County. Such attacks are in part attributable to the failure of owners to confine and properly train and control their dogs. Therefore, Hillsborough County government has found it necessary to impose uniform requirements on the owners of dangerous dogs, including being listed in this public information document.

Early Age Foster Care Program -- Animal Services is searching for special people willing to help young animals with a short-term place to grow and mature. Often, particularly during the spring and summer months young puppies and kittens come into the care of Hillsborough County Animal Services. Shelters typically cannot provide appropriate environments for these especially vulnerable young animals.Won't you consider opening your home - and heart to a needy animal?

Spay and Neuter Voucher Program -- Every year, thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized because no one wants them. A proven way to cut down on that overpopulation is to have your pets spayed or neutered.

Dog Obedience Training -- The Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation & Conservation Department is
offering classes on dog obedience as part of a well-rounded leisure program.
