| Hillsborough County Commissioners present nine awards
throughout the year to a residents, organizations or associations
for a variety of reasons - but they all encompass contribution to
our community.
These recipients are recognized for
their selflessness, triumph, courage and innovation, and they
are examples to all residents.

| You've Made A Difference Award |

The Hillsborough Board of County Commissioners uses the You've Made A Difference Award to publicly recognize residents who have
proposed an idea or presented a suggestion that has been adopted by the County as a countywide project or program. The award
is presented in November to no more than two recipients per calendar year
Eligibility
- Any resident or group of Hillsborough County.
- Individuals or groups may be nominated for "ideas" from previous
years.
- Project or idea must have proven effectiveness or impact over the course of several years.
Nominating Procedures
- County Commissioners, County staff or the public may submit nominations.
- Nominations are accepted throughout
the year and considered ever year in November.
- No more than three pages of pertinent supporting information
may be submitted with the form. This documentation should include details such as history or origin of the idea,
value of the project and description of the extent to which it positively impacted the community, and the duration
of the project and ongoing proven impact.
- Nomination forms are required for all nominees and must be received
on or before the deadline. Incomplete or illegible forms cannot be considered.
- Obtain a nomination form ( PDF, 31KB ) .
Selection Process
The Citizen Advisory Committee selects two nominees as recommendations to the Commission. The Commission's decision is
final. The nomination form and supporting information become the property of Hillsborough County and cannot be returned. |
