Budget Workshops provide background and information to Commissioners on a wide variety of programs and services. Staff members are present to assist with answering questions. Commissioners may "flag" budget items they want to study in more detail. Typically, there is not time set aside for public comment.
Public Hearings provide a formal public forum for citizens to express their viewpoints on any aspect of the County Budget. Residents may also participate in Budget Hearings by calling the Budget Hotline at 813.307.8337 or by sending an email during the live telecast/webcast.
