Clement Pride Blvd. Extension Public Meeting

Hillsborough County will hold a public meeting to discuss a proposed extension of Cedarfield Drive on both sides of the road to connect to Clement Price Boulevard in the Riverview area. Clement Pride Boulevard is already being built to Big Bend Road, and the County is considering also connecting the road to Cedarfield Drive during the construction process.

SR 674 Sewer Main Phase 2 Public Meeting

May 28, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ 15816 Beth Shields Way

Schedule pre-construction public meeting for SR 674 FM (Cortaro Drive to South County Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant (SCAWTP) – CIP 10146. The project will install approx. 11,000’ (2.1 miles) of 30” force main pipe in the Sun City Area. Installation will start at intersection of SR 674 and Cortaro Drive travel north along Cortaro Drive, turn west along Upper Creek Drive, turn north again along Cypress Creek Blvd. and then turn west and go under I-75 and into the SCAWTP. Suggested meeting dates: May 28 or 30. Suggested location: SouthShore Regional Library. Need assistance with scheduling meeting, signs, HTV support. PUD PIO will handle news release, ad and project page.

Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner, District 6, Countywide, is hosting office hours in the community one Wednesday every month in locations around the county. These events provide residents the opportunity to meet with the Commissioner, one-on-one, to share ideas and voice concerns without having to travel to County Center in downtown Tampa. No appointment is necessary and residents are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

129th Avenue East Drainage Improvements Public Meeting

May 29, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ 14013 N. 22nd Street

Hillsborough County will hold a public meeting to discuss a proposed drainage improvement to improve flooding issues along 129th Avenue East in the University Area. This project is proposed to build a small detention pond on a County-owned parcel on 129th Avenue East, and add concrete curb and gutter along the south side of the street leading to the proposed pond. Construction is expected to begin by late fall and cost approximately $100,000. County staff will be at the meeting to explain the project and answer questions. Please attend; we welcome your input.

Florida Treasures: A Viva Florida 500 Historical Exploration (For Kids)

When two tourists discover a treasure chest full of historical artifacts, they are magically transported back in time in a fun-filled journey through Florida history. The audience will laugh and learn about Ponce de León,the settlement of Pensacola, the discovery of St. Augustine, and the original Pocahontas story. This program is intended for children ages 5 to 12 years. Presented in partnership with the Atlantic Coast Theatre for Youth (ACT). Funded by the Friends of the Town ’N Country Regional Library.
