  4. Code Enforcement Special Magistrate Hearings for Red Light Appeals

    The Special Magistrate shall conduct the quasi-judicial enforcement procedures of Ordinance 09-64, Hillsborough County Red Light Camera Enforcement Ordinance, in the same or similar manner as with other ordinance violations and shall also consider appeals of red light camera violations filed pursuant to the Ordinance. Any person who decides to appeal the decision of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate to the Circuit Court with respects to any matter considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purposes, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based. An appeal must be filed within thirty (30) days after the execution of the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate’s Order.

    The Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission is an independent consolidated planning agency, lead by appointed citizens, which serves all the citizens of Hillsborough County by providing a vision for improving the quality of life. The Planning Commission and its staff serve as agents within the community to promote and coordinate the involvement of all people in comprehensive long-range planning, growth management, transportation, and environmental protection. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners, Tampa City Council, Plant City Commission, and Temple Terrace City Council regarding land use, community planning, capital improvements, urban design, and other comprehensive issues.

  19. Safe & Sound Hillsborough County Meeting

    The Hillsborough County Community Violence Prevention Collaborative, now known as Safe & Sound Hillsborough County, was created in the summer of 2013 as an initiative to transform the way local policy makers address violence. This initiative shifts policy from a public safety to a public health model and aligns community and professional stakeholders to develop a comprehensive prevention and intervention approach.

    The board meets every month for a regular business meeting. The monthly business meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of every month. When required, the board meets to hear appeals of discipline and grievance matters. These meetings are scheduled periodically throughout the year, primarily on Wednesdays. Each meeting is noticed in accordance with the provisions of the Government in the Sunshine Law.

    This Board examines and advises division management on the development and operation of programs that treat children with special needs.     This Committee advises and makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners and the Hillsborough County Pet Resources Department on issues concerning the long range plans, general policies, shelter programs and services in the County. Additionally, it advises the BOCC and county administration regarding revisions to the Animal Ordinance, animal related resolutions, and policies concerning companion animals in Hillsborough County.

    The CAC serves in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners on general issues and those specified by the Board.

    Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner, District 6, Countywide, is hosting office hours in the community one day every month in locations around the county. These events provide residents the opportunity to meet with the Commissioner, one-on-one, to share ideas and voice concerns without having to travel to County Center in downtown Tampa. No appointment is necessary and residents are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

  3. Household Hazardous Waste Collection - Sheldon Road

    Hillsborough County residents are encouraged to safely dispose of household chemicals and other hazardous waste by taking them to our collection events for proper disposal. *This is also a Money 4 Mercury event collection event. Electronics and paint are accepted at any of our Community Collection Centers six days a week (Monday to Saturday).   5. Fairmont Estates Fellowship Club Demolition Public Meeting

    March 9, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM @ 901 6th Street SE.

    This project will include the demolition of the 1960’s Fairmont Estates community building, storage building, and shuffleboard court in order to provide a new open/green space park. The new open/green space park will provide recreational area for residents and help to enhance the beauty and environmental quality of Fairmont Estates neighborhood. The project site is approximately 1,200 square feet and located at 535 Domino Dr. North in Ruskin, FL.

  6. Appeal Hearing for Procurement Decision

    Kimmins Contracting Corporation is appealing Hillsborough County’s procurement decision on the Northdale Reclaimed Water Transmission Main Replacement and Dawnview Force Main Replacement Project, ITB-C-0259-0-2014/ST, CIP Numbers 10216 and 10171.
