An upcoming free business networking event will help minority, women, and small business owners connect to opportunities in government contracting. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet government prime contractors and sub-contractors with the goal of forming new partnering relationships. Businesses will also have a chance to connect with small business loan specialists, representatives of multiple government agencies, and learn about the processes and procedures necessary to do business with local government.

Representatives will be present from prime contractors such as David Nelson Construction, Garney/Wharton-Smith, JV Construction Services Group, Inc., Holmes Hepner & Associates Architects Inc., Killebrew Inc., Kimmins Contracting Corp., and Pepper Contracting Services Inc.
The Open Doors Forum is organized by Hillsborough County's Disadvantaged Minority/Disadvantaged Women Business Enterprise (DM/DWBE) and Small Business Encouragement (SBE) programs as part of an Economic Development initiative to increase access for minority-owned, women-owned, and small businesses to participate in local government purchasing contracts. The event is hosted in partnership with the Hillsborough County DM/DWBE & SBE Advisory Committee.
