Send in a completed pre-application with a $25 Non-Refundable License Pre-Application Fee in the form of a
check or money order made payable to: BOCC (Board of County Commissioners). The pre-application is
available on this website, click on the link below. It can be printed out and mailed in to the
Child Care Licensing Office. For more information, please call (813) 264-3925.
Family Child Care Home Licensure

- After we receive your application and fee, you will be contacted by mail and registered for the next available consultation class. English classes are held once or twice a month from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Spanish classes are held every other month from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

Once you complete all the requirements, contact the Senior Family Child Care Home Licensing
Inspector at (813) 264-3925 extension 563 for a home inspection.

If you pass your home inspection, you will receive your license in seven (7) to ten (10) working
days.
