Responsibilities of the Citizens Advisory Committee
 

Moral Courage Award:

  • Review and rank applications and make recommendations to the BOCC.

Bi-Annual Budget:

  • Review and bring recommendations to the BOCC.
  • Serve on selection committee for competitive and non-competitive funding processes.

Office of Neighborhood Relations:

  • Serve in an advisory capacity for the Neighborhood Grant program.

Annual Meeting with the BOCC:

  • Determine the goals and the work plan for the ensuing year; bring recommendations to the BOCC after study of the issues.

Social Service Grants:

  • Serve as committee members to review the competitive Social Services Request for Applications ( SSRFA ) which the BOCC uses to fund non-profit organizations providing direct social services to residents.

Sign Ordinance:

  • Review any changes in policy as directed by the BOCC.

Favorite Sons and Daughters Award:

  • Review nominations and recommend confirmation to the BOCC.

Capital Improvement Program ( CIP ):

  • Review proposed projects and bring recommendations to the BOCC.

Comprehensive Plan:

  • Review any amendments to the plan.
