This Board will meet regularly and hold two public hearings. Any changes to the Hillsborough County Home Rule Charter would go before voters for approval in November 2010 and/or November 2012. All meetings and public hearings will be televised by Hillsborough Television, seen on Bright House channel 622 or Verizon FiOs or Comcast Cable channel 22.
The Home Rule Charter was approved by voters in a countywide referendum in September 1983. It details the organization of Hillsborough County government by dividing it between a legislative branch (County Commissioners) and the executive branch (County Administrator).
