The Media Relations & Public Information Office is one of the five sections of the Communications Office in the Public Affairs Office. It serves as the County's centralized source of information for the media and the public.
The goal of the Public Information & Media Relations section is to provide accurate and complete information in a timely manner using all the resources at our disposal including the Internet, our own cable television station, publications and the mass media.
It develops informational materials about the County; responds to public inquires via telephone, mail, and e-mail; serves as the media liaison for the County and serves as liaison for department public information officers.
The Public Information Office also assists the Board of County Commissioners with special projects, including community events and designing plaques and other written documents to honor County and community members.
