The Minority / Small Business Enterprise program provides an opportunity for minority / disadvantaged
/ women owned and small businesses to participate in the County's procurement programs which include construction,
contractual
services, professional consulting services,
and commodities.
The primary function of the Disadvantaged Minority / Disadvantaged Women Business Enterprise and Small Business Enterprise
(DM/DWBE & SBE) Encouragement Programs is to promote the growth and development of these businesses in Hillsborough County's
procurement and contracting activities. This is accomplished by assuring proper representation of these firms in procurement
and contracting by the county through outreach efforts, such as workshops and a quarterly Newsletter, and other forms of
assistance and referral as needed.
