Howl-O-Ween Means Tricks & Treats at the Pet Resource Center

First Saturday Celebration is October 1st

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 27, 2016) - The pets at Hillsborough County's Pet Resource Center are ready to show off their tricks - and earn some treats - at the First Saturday Howl-O-Ween Fall Festival on Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This month, every adopted pet goes home with a trick-or-treat bag of goodies.

The Pet Resource Center is the County's animal shelter and The First Place for Pets. It is located at 440 N. Falkenburg Road.

Throughout the month of October, the Pet Resource Center will offer $20 adoptions for all ready-to-go pets, a deal which includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip with free registration, and Hillsborough County pet license tag (a package valued at $250 to $400).

The Oct. 1 First Saturday Celebration also will feature:

  • refreshments and music
  • special guests, exhibitors, rescue partners, and foster pets ready for adoption
  • free parking and admission

The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center is often the first place to receive the community's lost and surrendered animals, and the shelter hopes to be the first place adopters come to select a new pet. The facility is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for adoptions, lost pet searches, low-cost spay/neuter vouchers, and Hillsborough County pet license tags.
