Hillsborough County, Fla. (Sept. 21, 2016) - Tomorrow, Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners Chairman Lesley "Les" Miller, Jr. will host a roundtable discussion with Hillsborough County Public Works and key community partners to promote collaboration to protect residents, workers, and visitors from the Zika virus and other mosquito-borne illnesses. Key partners invited to attend include representatives from the City of Tampa, the City of Temple Terrace, the City of Plant City, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the University of South Florida, MacDill Air Force Base, Port Tampa Bay, the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, the Florida Department of Health, the University of Tampa, Hillsborough Community College, and Visit Tampa Bay.
The roundtable discussion will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Floor 26, Conference Room A & B at County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa. Media are invited to attend the roundtable discussion beginning at 10:30 a.m. for interviews with Chairman Miller and Public Works Director John Lyons.
