East Lake Nutrient Source Evaluation Study
Hillsborough County, Fla. (November 22, 2017) - Hillsborough County residents can learn about the findings of a study to evaluate the sources of nutrients contributing to the impairment of East Lake in northeast Hillsborough County during a public information meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Hosted by Hillsborough County Public Works, the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will take place at the East Lake Park Civic Center, 7217 Kingsbury Circle in Tampa.
At the meeting, attendees can review, ask questions, and comment on the study findings.
This project is part of the County's ongoing compliance with Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater programs. The results of this study will lead to the design of projects intended to reduce the nutrient load entering the lake through the public stormwater system.
