New Year Starts Out Fun at Senior Centers

Come spend 2018 at one of our fun-tastic Senior Centers.

As the New Year arrives, it is the perfect time to set new goals in many areas of our lives.
7 Dimensions of Wellnes

To start off 2018, our Nutrition and Wellness Centers for Older Adults will be providing a variety of useful tools and resources to give you a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle that revolves around the seven dimensions of wellness.

  • Financial Wellness
READY. SET. BANK. Starting in January, every senior center will hold workshops on how to get started with online banking. Technology is changing the way customers bank. Online banking is an efficient, convenient, and secure way to keep track of your money, but it can be confusing.
Ready, Set, Bank™ is a series of short videos that empowers older adults to be successful with online banking. The videos cover everything from how to make a mobile deposit to how to check your balance and pay bills.

  • Physical and Emotional Wellness
90-Day Wellness Challenge - Each center has developed wellness challenges that include goals ranging from losing weight to step challenges to learning how to line dance. Come join in these group challenges that can help motivate you to stay on track the rest of the year. You will find a variety of physical fitness classes from Zumba to kickboxing at select locations.

  • Environmental Wellness
Select Nutrition and Wellness locations offer an opportunity to help in our community gardens or garden boxes that have produced a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamentals.

  • Spiritual Wellness
At select locations, there are discussion groups that offer an outlet that can provide spiritual guidance in our everyday lives.

  • Intellectual Wellness
Language, creative arts, expressive arts, and computer classes, oh my! You can find classes to work those brain cells at all of our locations.

  • Social Wellness
You will find all kinds of social and special events at all of our locations, where you can meet new people who feel like old friends.

Senior Center Holiday Closings
All senior centers will be closed on the following days:
