Plenty to be Thankful for in November at the Senior Centers

Hillsborough County, Fla. (October 27, 2017)- Hillsborough County Aging Services offers a variety of activities for adults 50 and over. Visit the Aging Services website to view activity calendars and additional center information or call Aging Services at (813) 272-5250.

Veterans' Celebration

Aging Services plans to recognize senior residents who are veterans throughout the month of November, an effort led by the Volunteer Services Team. The department will host 4 events for approximately 1 hour each at the senior centers listed below. The department also will provide gourmet desserts, highlighted with various presentations, including the Buffalo Soldiers Tampa chapter as well as a display of The Tampa History War Memorabilia exhibit. Local veterans can stop by a location to partake in the desserts and receive a special gift in honor of their service.

  • Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m. – Ruskin Senior Center, 901 6th Street SE in Ruskin
  • Nov. 8 at 10:30 a.m. – The Oaks at Riverview Senior Center, 101 E. Kirby St. in Tampa
  • Nov. 9 at 12:30 p.m. – Brandon Senior Center, 612 N. Parsons Ave. in Brandon
  • Nov. 16 at 1:30 p.m. – Town ‘N Country Senior Center, 7606 Paula Drive in Tampa
