FishHawk Sports Complex Expansion Ribbon Cutting

With youth sports booming, County adds fields in FishHawk

Hillsborough County, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2017) - Hillsborough County on Friday, Jan. 27 will celebrate the completion of its latest project to meet the growing demand for fields that can be used for a variety of youth sports.

The expanded and upgraded FishHawk Sports Complex at 16000 FishHawk Blvd. now includes 16 fields. The fields include eight baseball/softball fields and eight multi-purpose fields that can be used for youth soccer, football, and lacrosse. The complex is among the most heavily used in the County.

The recently completed $2.1 million project included the construction of new fields and sidewalks, parking, landscaping, and lighting. The project was paid for with park impact fees.

Media are invited to the ceremony, which will feature officials from the County and from the FishHawk Youth Sports Association.
