Resident Fire Displaces Family
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. - May 2, 2008 11:00 PM Structure Fire Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is on the scene of a single family home at 9401 Bramble Ct in the Town and Country area. First arriving units reported heavy flames and smoke coming from the front of the home. A second alarm was called due to the closeness of the neighboring homes. The fire was brought under control quickly by the first arriving units and the second alarm was canceled. The resident was in her office/garage and heard the smoke alarm coming from inside the house. She went to investigate and was confronted with heavy dark smoke. She left the home and called 911. She lives there with her two daughters that were not home at the time. The home was heavily damaged and Red Cross has been notified. Hillsborough County Firefighters rescued two puppies from the home unscathed and they were reunited with the family. In all, 21 personnel and ten units were on scene. The cause, determination, and damages are under investigation by the Hillsborough County Fire Marshall's Office. ###
