House Fire
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL. - June 20, 2009 What: House Fire When: 2335 hrs (dispatch time) Address: 6911 Ohio Ave Gibsonton. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue units responded to a house fire overnight at 6911 Ohio Ave.. No civilian injuries are reported. No firefighter injuries are reported. The home is vacant with an out of state owner. HCFR Fire Investigator David Tucker advises that the fire is under investigation. Tucker advises that the home is a total loss. Loss estimate is $75,000. Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reportedly received a number of vandalism complaints at the home prior to this evening's fire. HCFR Fire Captain Pat Cotter advises that the home was of older construction. Cotter further advises that following the fire, some exterior walls had to be taken down by firefighters due to safety concerns. HCFR committed sixteen firefighters, four fire engines, one rescue ambulance, one breathing air support vehicle and a Battalion Chief to the fire. ###
