Fleet Management is an internal department that provides vehicle and equipment-related services to Hillsborough County departments. These services include fleet acquisition and disposal, preventative maintenance, repairs, wrecker service, motor pool and fuel sales. Fleet Management has sixty-seven employees with five garages spread throughout the county to best serve its customers. The county's fleet consists of 5,330 pieces, ranging from small equipment such as mowers to heavy construction equipment such as excavators. The fleet is worth approximately $90 million.
