In 2010, Hillsborough County initiated the development of a comprehensive study, the Energy and Sustainability Plan (ESP). This document is an overview of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions for many county government operations and facilities. Also contained in this study is a Land Inventory exploring carbon storage potential for county owned lands. The ESP document contains proposals that will help Hillsborough County government continue to move forward on energy efficiency and sustainability practices for the challenging times ahead.
