I came to Head Start with dreams of becoming somebody special, I couldn’t quite figure out which direction to go. I decided to get involve “try something new” as most people would say. I attended a Healthy Marriage training and I learned, I’m not the only one with hopes of becoming someone special to the world.
My second step was joining the Policy Council Board which changed my life completely.
I met people that influenced me to take the next step, and that’s when my dreams became my business, my boyfriend became my fiancé, my house became our home and I became a woman with a bigger vision.
So when you’re walking around wondering why you’re here, remember your mission gave me a vision.
Thank you Head start for all you have done for me and my family.
Sincerely,
Marquetta Williams
Dear Staff:
I am writing this letter to express how grateful I am for the opportunity I had to attend the LILIES Retreat on February 26th-28th, in Haines City, Florida. Everything was well organized and perfect that I had no complaints. Starting from registration all the way through coming back home. I felt love, appreciated and respected at all times, including the staff as well. I was having a personal situation in my life and this retreat helped me to realize that I am a wonderful woman and that I am capable of doing whatever my mind is set up to.
I am thankful for the opportunity to be with Mrs. Cynthia Williams, I loved her energy and positive vibe and Mrs. Smith with her workshop. And last but not least, Mrs. Tara Clark who saved me from a crisis of leaving my toothbrush at home in Brandon.
I appreciate the education information and advice that was given, as well as the connections I made with the other women that attended. This program is rich on information and resources that me as a mother need in order to be a successful parent for my children.
Again, thank you so much. I sincerely appreciate your time.
Very Respectfully,
Chiralies a Grant Park Head Start parent
Hello,
I wanted to take a minute to express my gratitude and appreciation for one of your Early Head Start teachers, Ms. Ferguson of Kimmins. My daughter Tayona, is a special needs child and Ms. Ferguson has gone above and beyond to assist, encourage and help my daughter. The staff at Kimmins Early Head Start have also assisted us in making this an easy ride. When Tayona came to Kimmins she was not crawling or pulling up. She was 13 months when she started, she is 16 months now she is crawling and pulling up, and trying to eat real food. We are very pleased with Tayona’s progress at Kimmins. I don’t think Ms. Ferguson, and the entire staff realizes how much this means to me and my husband as parents.
Sincerely,
Bruce and Lakisha

Head Start has enable me to become closer with my kids. The various programs and functions provided by Head Start gives me an added opportunity to spend quality time with my children. Head Start has also allowed me to further my education, so I can provide a good future for my family.
My daughter Derica is performing well in her first year in Head Start. She learns so many things in Head Start and really applies those skills at home.
My son Andre attended Head Start for two years. Since leaving there, he has excelled in school at Mort Elementary. He made the Principal Honor Roll and has received awards for his behavior.
I would like to thank Mrs. Graham, Mrs. Bryant, Mrs. Rayam, Mrs. Yip and all the staff at Head Start for their heavy contributions to my family’s success.
A Grateful Parent,
Derrick Allen
Ms. Raymond, want to say thanks to all of Christopher’s teachers and staff at Robles Park Head Start center. I really appreciate all that you have taught him. When he attended another school at first he didn’t know anything. But as soon as he started going to Robles Park, he has learned a lot. Now he is in kindergarten at Broward Elementary and I am very proud of him. I want to say Thank You again especially to Ms. Branch, Ms. Fulks, and Ms. Clark. Thanks again, this is an experience for me. I hope the same for my daughter Surdechna.
Sincerely,
Rossline a parent from Robles Park |
