David P. Rogoff has been director of the Department of Health & Social Services since January 2003. He has more than 30 years of
experience in health care management and consulting. Before joining the County, he was president of David P. Rogoff Health Care Consulting,
which helped organizations plan, develop and implement programs to improve the health status of their communities. He specialized in
helping organizations address the needs of low-income populations.
In collaboration with other community health partnerships and consultants, Mr. Rogoff partnered with the U.S. Bureau of Primary Health
Care and the Health Resources and Services Administration to address improving access to health care for the uninsured. Prior to
starting his own consulting business, Mr. Rogoff was vice president of Planning, Marketing, Public Relations & Community Care
at St. Joseph's-St. Anthony's Health System in Tampa. He also worked with Hillsborough County to develop the overall health plan.
Mr. Rogoff also was a commissioned health facilities officer and a representative for the Office of the U.S. Air Force Surgeon General.
He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and a master's degree in hospital
administration. |
