Purpose
The BOCC approved a motion on March 18, 2009 to reconvene the Study Committee following a staff report predicting that without intervention the Health Care Trust Fund Balance for the HCHCP could fall below the actuarial recommended level during FY 2011. In the motion, the BOCC charged the Study Committee with identifying:
- By September 2009, tactical actions to sustain the financial viability of the Hillsborough County Health Care Program in the short term. (
See Short-Term Recommendations)
- By April 2010, longer-term, multi-year actions that will result in long term viability of the Hillsborough County Health Care Program.
