Neighborhood Service Centers
The concept of providing health and social services to low-income
residents in a community-based environment has been a trademark
of the Department of Health and Social Services, Division of
Social Services. The Neighborhood Service Centers (NSC) sites are
strategically and conveniently located in five geographic areas
throughout the county and have been the heart of
Department’s operation.
All centers have case managers on site who determine eligibility
for Hillsborough HealthCare and for financial assistance. They
also house and sponsor unique programs to address the health and
social services needs of neighborhood residents. The Centers
provide a meeting place for many civic, youth, neighbor resident
organizations and educational, law enforcement, crime prevention
groups as well.
Hillsborough County is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
