Traditional Summer Camps (Ages 5-12)
Dig Into Summer at one of Hillsborough County’s Traditional Summer Camps. Activities include adventure, nature, fitness, athletics, crafts and reading. Each program is carefully planned and designed to ensure each camper experiences a summer to remember. Traditional camps are offered in two-week sessions. All camps include field trips, guest speakers and on site events.

Fine Arts Camp (Ages 7-12)
The Roy Haynes Fine Arts Camp will feature music, dance, drama, creative writing and glee-type variety shows. We strive to build on our campers’ budding creativity and to introduce them to new avenues of fine arts. Our goal is to provide a personal atmosphere in which students can have fun and learn cooperatively.

Teen Camps (Ages 12 – 17)
Hillsborough County Teen Camps have been designed for teenagers to have a place specifically where they can relax around peers, meet new friends and enjoy new and exciting learning experiences. Camp offers field trips, creative activities, sports, and adventures to encourage participants to play, laugh and learn their way through an unforgettable summer.

Nature Camps (Ages 9-15)

Sessions I and III - Ages 9 to 11; Sessions II and IV - Ages 12 to 15
Two fun filled weeks of fishing and outdoor skills, including canoeing, camping and swimming. Guest speakers will include local outdoor celebrities. Camp will end with a deep sea fishing trip!

Sessions I & II - Ages 12 to 15; Sessions III & IV - Ages 9 to 11
Come experience nature through hands-on interaction! Children will learn the basics of canoeing, camping, backpacking and hiking while identifying native plant and animal species. Pitch a tent, build a fire, and leave no trace. Camp will finish with a 3 hour paddle on the Hillsborough River!

If you enjoy Florida wildlife and nature you will love Hillsborough County’s summer camp at Upper Tampa Bay. You will experience fishing, hiking, canoeing, and wildlife viewing. Fun field trips to regional aquariums and a deep sea fishing trip!

Camp Sparks is a summer day camp designed for participants ages 5-22 with disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries and learning disabilities. Activities include sports, games, arts and crafts, and cooking, as well as special events, swimming and field trips.

Registration for the Bakas Equestrian camp must be done directly at the Center)
The Equestrian Summer Camp at the Bakas Center is open to children ages 5-17 who love horses, and have always wanted to learn to ride. The cost for this camp is $50 per day or $250 per week. This camp is limited to 15 participants per day. Activities vary, and may include horse care, riding, arts/crafts, fishing, canoeing, carriage riding, hay rides, slip and slide, and possible off-site field trips.
