The Department of Family and Aging Services is a Department that was recently established on June 21, 2010 as part of the Hillsborough County’s new transition plan. The plan combines the Department of Children’s Services, the Department of Health and Social Services, and the Department of Aging Services into a new entity called the Department of Family and Aging Services.

The following divisions were established within the Department of Family and Aging Services:

The department provides the initial assessment and eligibility determination of county residents for a myriad of services provided by the department through the individual divisions. Services include case management, education, support services, employment assistance, crisis intervention, health care, and a variety of other services for qualified Hillsborough County Residents, including senior citizens, adults, adolescents, children, and veterans.
