Equal Opportunity Administrator’s Office

Responsibilities
The Equal Opportunity Administrator's Office is responsible for providing assistance to residents of Hillsborough County who believe they have been discriminated against because of their race, color, gender, age, national origin, religion, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.

Services

The Equal Opportunity Administrator's Office provides the following services:

  • Investigation of employment, public accommodations, housing, County contracting and procurement activities, and credit extension practices discrimination complaints that falls under the jurisdiction of Hillsborough County Code of Ordinances and Laws, Chapter 30, Article II (Hillsborough County Human Rights Ordinance 00-37, as amended.) 

  • Investigation of discrimination complaints made by residents against Hillsborough County employees that falls under the jurisdiction of the Office of the County Administrator.

  • Training to residents, businesses, and organizations on the federal Fair Housing Act and housing discrimination prevention upon request.

  • Investigation of discrimination complaints made by employees that falls under the Office of the County Administrator against other employees that falls under the Office of the County Administrator.
