Overview

The Development Services Department prepares text amendments to the Land Development Code periodically. Land Development Code Amendments are considered by the Board of County Commissioners in public hearings.

2015 Land Development Code Amendments - Link to Key Dates

LDC 15-1268: Adequate Public Facilities

The purpose of this amendment is to update the Land Development Code (LDC) to correct a scrivener's error and remove the terms "Urban Development Area" and "Urban Expansion Area," which are no longer used or defined in the LDC or Comprehensive Plan.

LDC 15-1269: Enforcing Authorities
The purpose of this amendment is to update an obsolete ordinance reference. Ordinance #05-5 was repealed by Ordinance 10-27, which has been codified as Chapter 14, Article II of the Hillsborough County Code of Ordinances, Part A.

LDC 15-1270: Appeals for Land Use Hearing Officer (LUHO) to Land Use Appeals Board (LUAB)
The purpose of this amendment is to update the notice requirements for parties of record for appeals from the LUHO to the LUAB, and for remand hearings from the LUAB to the LUHO.

Applying for a Land Development Code (LDC) Amendment
Amendments are initiated by submitting a text amendment application. If the amendment is initiated by an individual or entity outside the county, they must first attend a mandatory application pre-submittal conference and then submit the application and pay the fee by appointment.
