  • Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation strives to be outstanding in our field, offering a wide variety of facilities and programs for all ages and abilities. We are developing a Parks & Recreation Master Plan and need to hear your ideas.
  • A wide variety of Parks & Recreation programs are available including: after school; summer camp; youth, teen, adult and senior activities; sports for youth and adults; and therapeutic recreation for people with special needs.
  • Which park facilities and programs are most important to you? Your input will help us improve the quality of life in Hillsborough County.

Come to a public meeting in your area and give us your input

At each meeting, staff will:
  • Review project purpose, scope, schedule and methodology
  • Provide an overview of Parks & Recreation amenities
Residents will have the opportunity to:
  • Offer input on parks within the area of each meeting in an open house format
  • Provide valuable input on programming and facilities through participation in a survey

All meetings are from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

 The Parks, Recreation and Conservation departments provides programs, events and activities to Hillsborough County residents on a year-round basis.

The department operates more than 176 neighborhood parks and playgrounds countywide, 265 athletic fields, 13 recreation centers, 10 regional parks, more than 727 miles of trail, as well as 61,000 acres of preserved lands acquired through the Jan K. Platt Environmental Lands Acquisition and Protection Program (ELAPP).

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation departments offers boating, bicycling, campsites, canoeing, concerts, cultural happenings, festivals, hiking, horseback riding, meeting facilities, nature study, picnic shelters, swimming, nature programs, and more.
