The Enhanced Teen Program provides supervised recreational activities for teens as part of a community effort to keep teenagers busy and off the streets in fun, supervised environments. Providing alternative activities builds self-esteem and deters unacceptable behavior in this age group. The program also includes middle school aged participants. Most activities are free and open to all county residents.

Volunteering:

There are always opportunities for young adults to volunteer in any of our teen programs. One of our more successful volunteer programs is the "Leader in Training" (LIT) program that is offered at all of our recreation sites. Teens, ages 12, and up can volunteer on our playgrounds assisting with a variety of recreation activities. Volunteers are recognized annually at a banquet held in July.

How to Register:

To register simply visit your local recreation area and complete a Teen Registration Form. There is no cost to register, however, some activities include a minimal fee to participate.

Donations:

Donations are always needed, especially for this important population. In kind services and goods are always appreciated and are tax deductible. Financial contributions are also accepted through our "Friends of the County Parks", a 501C-3 not-for-profit organization
