Peter Aluotto has been the Director of Planning & Growth Management since February 2007. Aluotto brings 30 years of experience to the County in Comprehensive Planning, Economic Development and Redevelopment.

Aluotto was previously the Director of Planning and Zoning in Escambia County, Florida, where he established and directed a new department responsible for all planning and development activities.

Before moving to Escambia County, Aluotto headed the Development Services Department for the City of Daytona Beach. While managing that department, he negotiated development agreements for projects totaling more than $150 million. He also attracted eight new companies to the city representing more than $50 million in new construction and 500 new employees using tax abatement and other incentives.

Aluotto previously had 13 years of experience in Tampa and Hillsborough County, in public and private sector planning and development positions. Aluotto has master's degrees in both Urban Planning and Public Administration.
