Records requests must be made in person at the Development Services Division's main office located at the County Center, 19th Floor, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. The following information is needed to research records:

Permits prior to 1971 - Legal description of property, approximate year the structure was built, owner's name, and old address or route and box number.

Permits 1971-1984 - Legal description (including section/township/range) and property address.

Permits 1985-1990 - Property address

Permits 1990 - present - Property address or owner's name
Permits prior to 1950 and plans prior to 1974 are not available. Copying of any records by photographic means costs $2.00. Written refund requests must be submitted within 60 days of permit
issuance and construction must not have commenced for applicant to receive a refund of 50% of the original permit fees (not including radon and landscaping fees, which are non-refundable). Questions concerning permit refunds should be addressed
to the Permit Manager at 813-554-5171.
If you are requesting refund of impact fees, please send your request to the Manager, Impact Fee Program, P.O. Box 1110, 20th Floor, Tampa, FL 33601-1110 (Phone 813-276-8305).
A copy of the original validated receipt must be attached to this form to receive a refund. The refund will only be issued to the business or person that issued the original check. View the Building
