A second Land & Water Linkage Project is currently underway within the Alafia River Watershed. An Alafia Land & Water Linkage Task Force, formed in coordination with the Alafia River Basin Stewardship Council (local citizen organization), has been meeting since early 1999. The Task Force has developed a draft report outlining their recommendations entitled "A Pre-Strategy Report of the Alafia Watershed Land & Water Linkage Task Force".

Upon finalization of this report staff has prepared a response document similar to that which was prepared for the Northwest Land & Water Linkage Project, which outlines recommended implementation action plans.
