U.S. 41 Hwy Zoning Overlay District (Apollo Beach and Ruskin) |
| |
 |
Improving the appearance of U.S Hwy. 41 is one of the main objectives for implementing the Apollo Beach and Ruskin Community Plans. Hillsborough County staff will be working with community residents and other stakeholders to explore the development of a zoning overlay district along U.S. Hwy 41 between Big Bend Road and the Little Manatee River. The proposed overlay district is not intended to affect existing uses, densities or intensities on properties along the corridor, but will address establishing standards to improve and enhance the physical appearance of this important roadway. Standards typically address landscaping, signage, architecture, site design, among others.
- Improve visual appearance of the corridor
- Promote community identity
- Enhance property values
- Promote economic development & redevelopment
Your participation is needed in this process. Several meetings will take place to gather community input.
