Traffic Operations is responsible for the installation, maintenance and replacement of new and
existing traffic control devices, such as traffic signals, roadway lighting, striping, traffic signs and
other pavement markings.
Our employees are responsible for a number of traffic assests including over:
- 110,000 Traffic Signs
- 5,000 Miles of Roadway Striping
- 2,300 Roadway Luminaries
- 300 School Beacons
- 485 Intersection Traffic Signals
The unit also responds to emergencies related to traffic signs, road
lighting and traffic signals. On nights, weekends, holidays, report hazardous conditions,
malfunctioning traffic sgnals or downed signs to the Sheriff�s Office at 247-8200.
