Is it a boat, or is it a vehicle? Actually, it’s our Argo Conquest 8x8 Amphibious Vehicle. Equipped with a 20 horsepower 4-stroke Kawasaki liquid cooled engine and a “Super Track” kit featuring 18-inch track segments over “Runamok” tires, this all-terrain vehicle can go from land to marsh to open water, without even the need for a boat ramp! Although used primarily to spray aquatic weeds, when outfitted with a dry larvicide “spreader” system it can be used to treat mosquito larva in environmentally sensitive areas, such as salt marsh. The dry granular larvicide is the same biological, environmentally friendly larvicide used by the helicopter.
