Established in 1950 as a function of the Sanitation Division of Florida's Health Department, what is now the Mosquito and Aquatic Weed Control Section of the Transportation Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department of Hillsborough County has been through many changes in personnel, locations, and equipment.
