This Section of the Transportation Maintenance Division of the Public
Works Department manages the permitting process, field inspection and
restoration of the rights of way of the County whenever individuals or
entities want to perform any type of work within the rights of way.
In addition, they manage the Temporary Traffic Control permitting
process and perform inspections whenever a lane closure, road closure
or special event is requested within the County.
As a participating member of the Greater Tampa Utilities Group (GTUG)
and Florida Utilities Coordinating Committee (FUCC), this office
administers utility coordination, both internal and external to the
County, in order to minimize conflicts in the design and construction
of projects going into the rights of way. Engineering and technical
support is provided by this office to the Transportation Maintenance
Division and to its services units.
