U.S. 41 and Crenshaw Lane CIP 69600.272
For the U.S. 41 and Crenshaw Lake Road intersection, such improvements may include one of the following alternatives:

1. Alternative 1
   Constructing an additional northbound left turn lane along US 41.  Convert the existing eastbound left turn lane to a westbound through lane and the existing eastbound through lane to a combined through/left.  The existing westbound through lane will be the additional receiving lane for the northbound left turn lane movement from US 41.
2. Alternative 2
   Constructing an additional northbound left turn lane along US 41 and add a westbound receiving lane on Crenshaw Lake Road.
3. Alternative 3
   Constructing an additional northbound left turn lane along US 41 and add a westbound receiving lane on Crenshaw Lake Road.  Sidewalks and bike lanes will be excluded from the south side of Crenshaw Lake Road.  All necessary widening will occur along the south side of Crenshaw Lake Road.
4. Alternative 4
   As a stand-alone alternative, or an option to each alternative, a northbound right turn lane may be constructed along US 41 onto Whitaker Road.  No sidewalks or bike lanes are proposed with this improvement

For the U.S. 41 and Sunset Lane intersection, the improvements may include one of the following alternatives:

1. Alternative 1
   Constructing an additional westbound left turn lane along Sunset Lane while widening to the south side of Sunset Lane.
2. Alternative 2
   Constructing an additional westbound left turn lane along Sunset Lane while widening to the north side of Sunset Lane.
3. Alternative 3
   Construct an additional westbound left turn lane along Sunset Lane, widening to both sides of Sunset Lane.

Bike lanes and sidewalks will occur along both sides of Sunset Lane for all three alternatives.
For each of the possible alternatives for Sunset Lane, a stormwater management pond would be required.  The proposed pond size and location is shown for each alternative.

This project is not funded for design or construction. Future public meetings will be held during the design phase of the project prior to construction.
