Duck Pond Drainage Improvements (CIP #47097)
During the 2004 and 2005 rainy seasons, several roadways in the area were flooded. As a result, several projects were developed to relieve this flooding in the University Community Area.
Due to the flat grade of the area and an inadequate drainage system, the stormwater is unable to naturally drain to its outfall, therefore causing local drainage problems and severe flooding. In addition any raised driveways or sidewalks causes standing water in the roadways.
