| The bid proposal ( PDF, 16KB ) must contain the following information. If the bid proposal does not
contain the following information it will not be recommended for acceptance by the Hillsborough County
Board of County Commissioners.
The bid proposal must include the following:
- Parcel number
- Schedule "A" (Legal Description) must be downloaded\printed from the County's
website or obtained from the Real Estate Department. The legal description shall be used to determine
the parcel that is the subject of the bid.
- Bidder Purchase Price (must be equal to or greater than the
minimum bid required).
- Certified funds made payable to Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners
or BOCC in the amount of 10 percent of the full purchase price must accompany each sealed bid. All bid
amounts are to be firm, valid and subject to acceptance for a period of 60 days after the bids are opened.
The 10 percent bid deposit shall be refunded, without interest, to all non-successful bidders.
- Signature
of bidder.
- Schedule "B" ( Contract for Purchase and Sale ( PDF, 46KB ) ) must be attached but
not executed at this time.
- Schedule "C" ( Waiver and Release of Claims and Damages ( PDF, 22KB ) ) must be attached
but not executed at this time.
- A separate bid proposal is required for each parcel.
- Neither Hillsborough County personnel nor any
other entity shall be held responsible for bid proposals that do not arrive prior to the bid opening
deadline. Bidders are fully responsible for delivery of the bid proposals. Bids that are submitted by
any electronic methods such as telephone, telegraph, electronic facsimile, or computer will not be accepted
under any circumstances.
Please note: The bid envelope should be marked “Attention:
Sealed Bid / Parcel ________,” and should
be mailed or delivered to the following address:

All bids must be received no later than 9:00 a.m. on the
day of the bid opening.
