Responsible for all of Hillsborough County’s surveying, mapping, and pertinent GIS data, the Division performs or provides management for field surveys, including control, topographic, stormwater, environmental, and acquisition surveys. Performs plat review, produces design surveys, right-of-way maps, photogrammetric mapping, and legal descriptions. Manages aerial photography contract and updates Countywide aerial photography on a 3-year basis. Maintains GIS base map, right-of-way inventory map, and a number of other layers for analysis, design, and planning.
