Section Description
|
|
Performs and manages field survey projects, including control,
topographic, engineering, boundary and acquisition surveys. Maintains field books and provides public information
on section corners, bench marks, monumentation, and other survey data.
The Survey Field Office Section has an active Bench Mark Maintenance Program. Bench Marks are published in both NAVD88 and NGVD29 Datums. All
Hillsborough County Bench Marks are published on the State
of Florida LABINS (Land Boundary Information Systems) website. Maps are also available at
this site for viewing or downloading.
Hillsborough County's Horizontal Control is also available on the LABINS website.
Hillsborough County currently has five permanent GPS reference stations operating 24 hours a day in conjunction with the FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation). Information for these sites can be found at www.myfloridagps.com or by contacting the County Survey Field Office.
